P/SL medical staffers Carol Stamm, M.D. and Richard Miranda, M.D., along with James McGregor, M.D. have published an article in the September issue of Contemporary Ob/GYN entiled "An Evidence-Based Approach to Managing Common STIs in Adolescents."
"Adolescents and young women are at particulary high risk for acquiring STIs, and for developing serious sequelae from untreated gonococcal and chlamydial infections. This review incorporates information from the CDC's 2010 Sexually Transmsitted Diseases Treatment Guidelines and provides an evidence-based approach to diagnosing and treating STIs in this population."
