Kudos to Drs. James Ball, John Polousky and Steven Leonard

Three Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children physicians have recently had their research published.

Dr. Steven R. Leonard, Rocky Mountain Pediatric Heart Surgery, is one of several authors of the article "Cerebral Near-Infrared Spectroscopy During Cardiopulmonary Bypass Predicts Superior Vena Cava Oxygen Saturation" published in the Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, August 2011, Vol. 142, No. 2, pp. 359-65.

Dr. James Ball, Rocky Mountain Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, is the first author on the article "A Two-Event In Vitro Model of Acute Chest Syndrome: The Role of Secretory Phospholipase A(2) and Neutrophils" published in Pediatric Blood and Cancer, July 25, 2011, pp. 1-8, Epub ahead of print.

Dr. John D. Polousky, Rocky Mountain Youth Sports Medicine, is the first author of "Subscapularis Tendon Injuries in Adolescents: A Report of 2 Cases," published in the Journal of Pediatric Orthopaedics, July/August 2011, Vol. 31, No. 5, pp. e57-e59.

Dr. Richard Flanigan is quoted in Fitness Magazine

"Live to 100" is the title of the Fitness Magazine article which quotes P/SL cardiologist Dr. Richard Flanigan as saying, "Good nutrition can extend your life by not just years but decades." Author Jan Sheehan then gives us ten healthy strategies we can use to "tap the culinary fountain of youth."
